The three killed were identified as Cullen Keffer, a varsity letterwinner last year as a freshman; Shamus Digney, and Ryan Lesher.

“Council Rock offers its sincere condolences to the families of these students and to all who are grieving this terrible loss,” Mark Klein, superintendent of the Council Rock School District, said in a statement posted Sunday on its website.

The accident occurred after 11 a.m. on Goosepond Road, near Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, in Wayne County’s Paupack Township, authorities said.

“Upon arrival, troopers found a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban with six juvenile occupants,” a state police spokeswoman said in a written statement.

Keffer was found dead at the scene., while Digney, of Holland; and Lesher, of Churchville, both 15, died Saturday at the Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton, authorities said.

On twitter, @CRSHawks sent out a tweet that said, “To all those showing Cullen love on here tonight, we can’t thank you enough. We are heartbroken, but your kind words will help get us thru.”

Of the three survivors, one was a Council Rock student and two were from the area where the accident occurred, police said.
