The Strath Haven boys lacrosse team helped squash area hunger by volunteering their services to sort and box over 10,000 lbs of food at Philabundance on February 25th.
This was the 4th annual trip by the team to the area’s largest food provider to those in need.
“There’s no better place to build a sense of team than at this event each year,” said Panthers Head Coach Jef Hewlings. “Our help is so appreciated by the team at Philabundance, but believe me, we get just as much out of this chance as Philabundance does.
“Our guys get the satisfaction of helping those in need, which in the end, means so much more than a HS lacrosse game. The energy and enthusiasm they show for the 2-plus hours they work in this environment makes coaching them so much easier – we can’t wait to get back and help again next year.”
