La Salle University’s women’s lacrosse team rattled off the last four goals of the game to come from behind and top San Diego State 14-13 on Friday night at SDSU’s Aztec Lacrosse Field.
Lauren McDermott (North Penn) scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals with 5:18 and 4:25 remaining, respectively. She finished with three goals on the evening.
Caitlyn Brostrand (Camden Catholic) was once again the leading goal-scorer, tallying four scores. Melanie Sarcinello (Marple Newtown) added three points on two goals and an assist.
The Explorers’ 6-1 record marks the best-ever start through seven games for the La Salle program.
