On game day teams are led by an honorary captain who is either a survivor or patient of cancer. In addition, the Colleluori family delivers a heartfelt address to all of the participants and attendees during the HEADstrong Ceremony. During the ceremony a member from each team will be selected as the recipient of the Nicholas Colleluori Award, which is presented annually to a player from each participating team whose contributions both on and off the field are transforming the landscape of their represented program.

The Nicholas Colleluori Classic has become a Fall tradition in the sport of lacrosse. Now in its 7th year, this milestone event has helped raise over $1,100,000 allowing the HEADstrong Foundation to strengthen their commitment to improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer.

“The NCC celebrates the fraternal bond between teammates, alumni and the relationships forged by families on the playing field. We are incredibly grateful to our past and present teams, vendors, volunteers, sponsors and families who have continued to support the NCC and the HEADstrong Foundation. We look forward to seeing everyone in October.”
