ReQuitme boys’ recruit: Cherry Hill East 2015 midfielder Stern commits to Penn State

Cherry Hill East rising junior midfielder Brandon Stern has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Why did you choose school: “It’s a great school and the chance to play in Big 10 Conference and compete for a National Championship.”

Outlook for your high school team in 2014: “My team for next year is very young. We have a great group of players and as we get older and play together, we hope to continue to improve.”

“First I would I like to thank my family and friends for all of their support and encouragement. In particular, I would like to thank my sister, a Division I lacrosse player, who got me interested in lacrosse in 6th grade. I would like to thank my parents and twin brother for their time and effort in helping me achieve my goals and for taking time to drive me to the events and tournaments.

“I would also like to thank my summer coaches, Bill Keane, Mike Yarusso, and Steve Picot, and the rest of the Shamrocks’ coaching staff for sharing their knowledge of the game with me, for helping me grow as a lacrosse player and guiding me through the recruiting process.
