What will you major in/study? “I’m undecided, but I’m leaning towards Accounting or Psychology.”

Why did you choose St. John’s? “As soon as I met the coaching staff, I knew St. John’s was right for me. Coach (Jason) Miller, Coach (Dan) Paccione, and Coach (Dom) DeNapoli all made me feel at home. When I first toured campus, I saw that St. John’s offered a lot: diversity, excellent academics, an outstanding support system, high-tech facilities, and competitive athletics. I really liked that St. John’s puts a high priority on academics. Although I was raised in the Philly suburbs, I look forward to being so close to New York City. I can’t wait to be a part of the Red Storm!

What are your thoughts on the season? “Our record this past season was not as good as we hoped; however, through every game we played, we battled hard to the end. We are currently at the beginning stage of rebuilding. We have a strong incoming freshman class and a very strong rising senior class. We hope to bring West Chester East Lacrosse back to where it used to be.”

Additional comments: “I would first like to thank my parents for supporting my passion of lacrosse. Throughout the summer, instead of doing other things like of relaxing on the beach, they came to watch me play in tournaments. From youth lacrosse through my junior year of high school, my family has attended almost every game and cheered me on regardless of the weather or score. Also, I want to thank them for putting up with my bad moods after tough losses!!

“Next I’d like to thank my coach Jim Schorn. Ever since I started playing lacrosse, he has been constantly pushing me to be the best that I can be, on and off of the field. Without Coach Schorn’s encouragement and dedication, I would never have been able to reach my goal of playing college lacrosse. I am truly grateful to have him as a coach and friend. Also, assistant coach Mike Dunn played a huge role in my success as a lacrosse player. When coach Schorn was unable to direct our practices, coach “machine-gun” Dunn took his place and was just as demanding. I really appreciated the off season, before school, lift sessions with him. Also I would like to especially thank my travel coaches Harry and Ryan Sankey for helping me transform my game to the college level and for the excellent advice, encouragement, and support they provided me.

“Finally I’d like to thank my teammates for all of their support and hard work. I couldn’t have been as successful without my ‘hammas.'”
