ReQRuitme boys’ recruit: St. Anne’s-Belfield (VA) 2017 attackman Robertson (Duke’s LC) commits to Johns Hopkins

St. Anne’s-Belfield (VA) freshman attackman Joe Robertson (Duke’s Lacrosse Club) has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University.

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Attack

College Choice: Johns Hopkins University

Club Affiliation: Duke’s Lacrosse Club (PA)

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: 74 points on varsity last year at Salem High School (Salem, VA); second leading scorer on varsity team; Jake Reeds Nike Blue Chip camp; member of Dukes Lacrosse Club.

Academic honors: Member of the Junior Honor Society, Honor Roll.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Johns Hopkins because of the strong, long standing lacrosse tradition and excellent academic opportunities. The location and size of the campus was a perfect fit for me. Coach Dave Pietramala really emphasized a unified team culture which I place as a high priority. The whole coaching staff and players made me feel welcomed.”

What is your team’s outlook for next season? “We should have a strong team this year with a lot of diverse talent. Our team chemistry is coming together already. Our goal is to reach the state championship and I think we have the team to do so this year.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank Coach Ebe Helm, Coach Jason Christmas and the entire Duke’s Lacrosse coaching staff for their mentorship and guidance. I would also like to thank Coach Bo Perriello, Coach Nate Rullman, Coach Hunter Price and the rest of the St. Anne’s-Belfield lacrosse coaching staff. Also, I would like to thank my former coaches, Coach David Turk, Coach Drew Bowers, Coach Steve Mason and Coach Mike Brightwell. A special thanks to all my teammates from Salem High School and to all of my current teammates at St. Anne’s-Belfield. Lastly, I would like to thank my parents for their dedication and support for me to play lacrosse and my brothers Matt, Ian and Phillip for helping me grow to be a better person and lacrosse player.
