Springfield-Delco rising junior attackman Lucas Spence has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.

What will you major in/study: Engineering and Business

Why did you choose school: “Lehigh is the best choice for me academically and offers great opportunities for their student athletes. I really like the school, the location, the campus and the coaching staff. It is the best fit for me all around.”

Outlook for your high school team in 2014: “Our goal is always to compete for the Central League title. We bring back a strong core of key players and will have a lot of leadership from our upperclassmen.”

Other comments: “I would first like to thank my family for always supporting me and pushing me to do my best. Coach (Tom) Lemieux and the Springfield coaching staff, thank you for offering me great opportunities and for helping me improve and develop into a stronger player.
