Spring-Ford senior defenseman Jack Haney has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Quinnipiac University.

Why did you choose school?
“I chose Quinnipiac for the welcoming feeling I received from the coaches and team. I loved the campus and the New Haven area, as well as Quinnipiac’s academic excellence. The school is looking to expand a lot in its athletic department and I want to be part of a growing program.”

Expectations for HS season: “We will have a young, but very athletic, team this year with a couple kids already committed to top schools. We look forward to pushing into districts and earning the spotlight for the PAC-10.”

Other comments: “Most importantly, I would like to thank Nick Falcone, who was a great mentor and taught me how to play the game. I’d also like to thank Brian Neary from HEADstrong who promoted me to Quinnipiac as well as John Yorgey, Kevin Czapor, Chad Strickler and Kevin Donnelly. Lastly, I’d like to thank my defensive coach from Quinnipiac, Coach Frady, as well as the rest of the staff for giving me the opportunity to play on their team.”
