Ramapo (N.J.) sophomore midfielder Josh Haubenstock has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Denver.

Josh Haubenstock log:

Josh Haubenstock

High School: Ramapo High School

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Midfield

College Choice: University of Denver

Club Affiliation: Leading Edge 2015

Major lacrosse honors: Varsity as freshman, Fab Frosh Showcase 2012 All-Star

Academic honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Science or Medicine

Why did you choose Denver? “I chose Denver because out of all of the schools that I visited, that is where I felt the most comfortable. The whole lacrosse program has a great family atmosphere and the campus is beautiful as well. Also, the connections that come with being a part of the Denver lacrosse team will help me in the future when I am looking for a job.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “I think that 2013 will be a bit of a rebuilding year for us on the defensive end after graduating our goalie, 3 starting defensemen, and starting LSM. On the offensive end of the field I think some guys will have to step up to fill a big whole that was left after one of our starting midfielders graduated last year.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank the whole Leading Edge program and Chris Roy for helping me through the recruiting process.”
