Notre Dame (N.J.) senior midfielder Sheamus Larkin has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the Air Force Academy.
Sheamus Larkin log:

High school: Notre Dame High School (NJ)
Year of graduation: 2014
Position: Midfield
College choice: Air Force Academy
Club affiliation: Team Turnpike
Lacrosse honors, tournaments: 2nd Team All County; All Conference 2012, 2013; Honorable Mention All State 2013; Varsity Captain 2013, 2014; Attended Champ Camp, National Invitational “Best of the Best”, MVP Team Tournament
Academic Achievements: National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Distinguished Honor Roll
Intended Major: Undecided Engineering (Basic Sciences)
Why Attend the Air Force Academy? “The Air Force Academy is a very challenging college, which I think would best test my skills academically, physically, and in becoming a leader of this country. This is an opportunity that I could not let slide by. The Academy has a great reputation for the field of study that I want to pursue, and a great opportunity to apply these skills after graduation. And it doesn’t hurt that the Academy is located in the up and coming city of Colorado Springs.”
Outlook for HS team in 2014: “Last year Notre Dame had a solid year, making it to the second round of the State Tournament in Non-Public Group A. This year we will have our starters returning on defense, and half of our starting midfield lines, but we will have a whole new group of attack that will have to step up. Our goal is to win our County Title, and to make it farther in the State Tournament.”
Other comments: “I would first like to thank my parents and my family for supporting me throughout my High School, and youth lacrosse career. They have watched many of my games, and have driven me to tournaments ranging the East Coast. I would also like to thank my club coaches, Kerry Weigner and Jason Carter, in helping me with developing my lacrosse skills, and the recruiting process. I would also like to thank my High School coaches, Jerry Middlemiss and Brian Rice, and the entire Notre Dame HS Lacrosse Team for supporting me through the spring season.”
Other schools considered: Naval Academy, Stevens Institute of Technology, Washington and Lee, Rochester Institute of Technology
