Carson Cocco

High School: Malvern Prep

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Quinnipiac University

Club Affiliation:
Team ManUp

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: Nike Blue Chip, Penn Star

Academic honors, service projects: Evanfest, Cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy, Service trip to Costa Rica.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Quinnipiac because I felt at home as soon as I stepped on campus. The campus is sick as it is, but they are also adding a new Lacrosse Stadium and indoor facility. I feel like academically it will be a great fit for me. I am looking forward to playing under Coaches Eric Fekete, Bruce Frady and Bill Tully.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “We lost a bunch of good seniors that impacted us a lot this year, but we also have a good amount of talent returning and some very experienced players. I think we will have a good chance to compete for the Inter-Ac title.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my Dad, Jim Schorn, for coaching me and giving me so many opportunities and my mom and sisters for being there for me throughout the process and always pushing me; my Malvern coaches, John McEvoy, Todd MacFarlane, and Matt Mackrides, for helping me throughout the process. I would like to thank the Donnelly family for making me a better player and always supporting me. I would also like to thank my previous coaches, Dave Metzbower and Dan Keating. I would like to thank all the Malvern alumni that have helped me, and my youth coach, Tom Dunn, and my Penn Star coach, Brian Zappala; and lastly I would like to thank Paul Meyers for treating me like his own son since I was 8 years old.”

Other schools considered? Hobart, Gettysburg, St. Joe’s
