Haverford School senior midfielder Timmy Brooks has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Richmond.
Timmy Brooks log:
High School: The Haverford School
Graduation year: 2013
Position: Midfield
College Choice: University Of Richmond
Club Affiliation: Old School Lacrosse Club
Major lacrosse honors: All-Star at King of the Hill 2012 for Team Philly
What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose Richmond? “Richmond has everything I wanted. The school has a great academic reputation, is in a perfect region, and the campus is awesome. I visited the school before the head coach was announced, and knew that I would like it there. I met with Coach (Dan) Chemotti as soon as he was announced as the new head coach and he was impressive from the first moment I met him.
“He had a clear vision of the program. He relayed specific moments about watching me play and related it to how I would fit into his system. He had a presence of success and articulate vision that I want to a piece of.”
Additional comments: “I want to thank Coaches (John) Nostrant, (Mark) Petrone, and (Travis) Loving for everything they have done for me. Their direction and support through this process has meant everything.”
