What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose St. Joe’s? “One of the things that drove me towards St. Joe’s University was the exceptional Business School, along with the emerging lacrosse program.
“Another factor that attracted me to St. Joe’s, was that my older brother Michael will be attending the school and we have always wanted to play together in college. When I go to St. Joe’s with my brother, I can easily picture myself there and it already feels like home. The first time I stepped on campus, it just felt right.
“When I first met Coach (Taylor) Wray, I knew that he was the coach I wanted to play for. He makes it very clear how much of a family the lacrosse team is. I also feel that Coach (Dan) Keating and Coach (Steve) Grossi will help me to improve my skills and knowledge of the game. Coach Wray certainly has done a great job in moving the program in the right direction and I feel very excited and blessed to be able to play with these guys throughout my college career.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Garnet Valley’s 2013 team made history by advancing to the States quarterfinal for the first time, losing to eventual state champions La Salle. Unfortunately, we graduated 15 seniors, all of whom who contributed immensely to last year’s team. Though this year’s team will be young, we gained experience by practicing with those 15 seniors everyday. This summer was our rebuilding time, playing in many tournaments with a few returning leaders. This season, though we are young, we have a lot of skilled players that have already proved that we can win.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my Dad for driving me everywhere to all my tournaments, camps, and showcases and for all his support and being such a big part in my career so far. I’d like to thank my sister for giving me an honest outlook on every college I was interested in. Thanks to my brother Mike for teaching me everything I know about facing-off and for molding me into the player I am today. Most importantly, thanks to my Mom for encouraging me to switch positions a year ago, it all started with her.
“Thanks to my Garnet Valley coaches: Coach Snow, Coach Urso, Coach Kivlen, and thanks to Coach Tingle for working face-offs with me.
“Finally, a special thanks to my HEADstrong coaches: Coach Neary, Coach Collelouri, Coach Richards, and the Colleluori Family.”
Other schools considered: St. John’s University, Villanova University, University of Delaware
