Downingtown West senior goalie Alexander Ataiifar has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hobart College.

Alexander Ataiifar log:

Alexander Ataiifar
Alexander Ataiifar

High School: Downingtown West

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Hobart College

Club Affiliation: HEADstrong

Major lacrosse honors: Keystone Games, 2nd Team All-League 2013, 2013 Defensive MVP, Brine Pride of PA Showcase, Brine All-America Showcase

Academic Honors: Honor Roll, Good Citizens Award

What will you major in/study? Economics, Political Science

Why did you choose Hobart? “Hobart is a beautiful campus with more space than you’d expect in a smaller school. Hobart is great for my major and Coaches (Greg) Raymond and (Peet) Poillon made me feel that I belonged there”.

What is your team’s outlook for next season? “We are a very young team since we only have 6 seniors this year. We will be playing a lot of juniors and more sophomores and some would say our schedule is hard but with all the work we are putting in the off-season I think you can expect us to be in the mix.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all they’ve done through the years and my High School coach Tom Slate for really helping in recruiting. Also my Headstrong coaches Brian Neary and Mike Colleluori who have been coaching me since freshman year.”

Other schools considered: Roanoke, Umass-Lowell, Salisbury
