Boyertown senior attackman Chris Stutzman has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Susquehanna University.

Chris Stutzman log:

Chris Stutzman
Chris Stutzman

High school: Boyertown

Graduation year: 2014

Position: Attack

College choice: Susquehanna University

Club affiliation:
Twist

Major lacrosse honors: All-Area Honorable Mention

What will you major in/study: Business Administration

Why did you choose school: “I chose Susquehanna because it’s a great fit for me academically, and its business school is very well respected. Also, the lacrosse team has seen great improvement over the past few years, and I think it’s going to continue to grow and compete for Landmark Conference championships each year. Coach Moan is looking for hardworking players who also want to succeed in the classroom, and I liked the balance he placed between lacrosse and school. From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt that Susquehanna was the best fit for me in all aspects.”

Outlook for your high school team: “This season is going to be a challenge for us. We graduated 16 seniors last year, and their loss leaves some big shoes to be filled. However, we have a strong group of seniors who are going to step up as leaders, and a lot of hardworking underclassmen who are looking to fill the voids on our roster. We’re hoping to compete for a Pac-10 championship and prove that this isn’t just going to be a re-building year.”

Other comments: “First, I’d like to thank my parents for supporting me through my lacrosse career, driving me to countless practices and tournaments, and going through the recruiting process with me. I’d also like to thank my Twist coaches Jack Devlin and Greg Flego for assisting me in all things recruiting and making the past two summers some of the most fun I’ve had playing lacrosse. Finally, I’d like to thank all the coaches I’ve had at Boyertown, from youth to high school. Brad Poley, Adam Eddinger, Ryan McGee, Taylor Howard, and Geoff Davidson have been incredible leaders and teachers, and they have inspired me to continue my playing career in college.”
