Archbishop Ryan senior defenseman Scott Anderson has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Stockton College.

Scott Anderson log:

Scott Anderson

High School: Archbishop Ryan High School

Graduation year: Class of 2013

Position: Defenseman

College choice: Stockton College

Lacrosse honors: Junior Varsity Defensive Player of the Year, Junior Varsity Captain (Sophomore), Varsity Captain (Senior), Penn State Lacrosse Camp 2010.

Academic honors: French National Honors Society

What will you major in/study? Marine Science

Why did you choose Stockton? “After visiting Stockton and meeting Coach (Kevin) Zulauf, I truly believed it was the school for me because they offered exactly what I was looking for academically. I’ve wanted to play college lacrosse for a while now and I felt that with Coach Zulauf and the program he is running, it would be a great fit for me and help me improve my game from the high school level to the college level.”

Outlook for your high school team? “For this upcoming season I think that we will be right back in the hunt for another playoff run. In the past two seasons we have made it to the Catholic League semi-finals, and this year we are looking to go even further and win a Championship. Last year we graduated a lot of talented seniors, this year we have a number of talented underclassmen who will help us take our game to the next level.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank Coach (Kevin) Zulauf for giving me the opportunity to play for Stockton and to help them win a Championship. It is an absolute honor to play for Coach Zulauf and his staff. I would also like to thank my high school coaches, Coach Pape, Coach Bottone and Coach Covello, for helping and me and pushing me to get better in order to play at a college level.

“Finally, I would like to thank my family for supporting me and being behind me since day 1.”

Other schools considered: University of Tampa
