Phillylacrosse.com High Honorable Mention Boys’ Players of the Year

Boys’ Players of the Year High Honorable Mention honorees:

Sean Coleman, La Salle, senior midfielder (Harvard)all phillylacrosse hhm

Coleman, after returning midway through the year (ankle injury), helped lead the Explorers to the state championship. He earned US Lacrosse and Under Armour All-American and All-Catholic League.

Kevin Gayhardt, Episcopal Academy, senior defenseman (Penn)

Gayhardt was the dominant force on defense for the Churchmen, who finished second in the Inter-Ac League and reached the Inter-Ac Invitational semifinals. He earned All-Inter-Ac Co-Most Important Player and US Lacrosse and Under Armour All-American and was the Delaware County Daily Times Player of the Year.

Greg Pelton, Malvern Prep, junior defenseman (Duke)

Pelton was the backbone on a defense that helped lead the Friars to the Inter-Ac League championship while averaging only 5.5 goals allowed per game.

Austin Pifani, Abington, senior defenseman (North Carolina)

Pifani spearheaded the Ghosts’ drive to the Suburban One National Conference title, tallying 14 goals, 15 assists and 140 groundballs. He was named US Lacrosse and Under Armour All-American.

Sean Giampietro Salesianum School, senior midfielder (Ohio State)

Giampietro led the Sals to their third straight Delaware state championship and first National ranking. He had 45 goals and 43 assists and was named All-State and US Lacrosse All-American.
