Philly players headed to Oregon for inaugural ‘Nike Ride’ lacrosse event

Eighty of the top underclass boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players around the country – including at least 10 from Philly – have been invited to compete in the inaugural Nike Ride Monday and Tuesday at Nike World Headquarters’ Ronaldo Field in Beaverton, Ore.

The Ride, a Nike Lacrosse event, focuses on growing the game by providing premier high school athletes with elite training, coaching and mentorship.

The list of Philly players attending has not been officially released by Nike.

Monday’s schedule includes SPARQ Combine testing/training and skills and position training from 4 to 6 p.m. On Tuesday, there will be pregame practices, and stick and shooting drills before a championship games from 4 to 6 p.m.
