Lehigh is in, Penn State is expected to be in and Princeton can guarantee itself a spot in the Field of 16 as lacrosse fans gear for tonight’s Selection Show at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.
Lehigh won the Patriot League title for the second straight year and Penn State (12-4) is a major at-large hopeful.
Albany (13-4), Bryant (8-10), Ohio State (12-3), Syracuse (13-3) and Towson (10-7) are all in as league champion automatic qualifiers. Siena and Detroit play today for an AQ as the MAAC champion.
Denver (12-4), North Carolina (12-3) and Notre Dame (10-4) are expected to be at-large picks.
Today’s Ivy League winner (Princeton or Yale) is in and the loser goes into the mix for at-large berths with the Nittany Lions (12-4), Cornell (12-3), Duke (11-5), Maryland (10-3) and Loyola (11-4). Bucknell (12-4) is on a precarious bubble.
