Mount Sinai (N.Y.) senior goalie Julia Michaels has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Why did you choose school: “Villanova is the best of both worlds for me, with a highly competitive academic institution as well as a strong lacrosse program that is improving every year. I love Coach (Julie) Young’s attitude towards creating a winning team and successful program, and I felt an immediate connection with the players.’
Outlook for your high school team: “Next year I look forward to another successful season with Mt. Sinai. After winning our first State Championship in program history I have confidence that we will only get better from here. My team’s strife for greatness and refusal for defeat combine to create an unstoppable force ready to make history once more.”
