Moorestown High senior defender Maura Talvacchia has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Presbyterian College.
Maura Talvacchia log:
High school: Moorestown High School
Graduation year: 2013
Position: Defense
College choice: Presbyterian College
Club affiliation: South Jersey Select
Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Tournament team 2012 and TOC champions 2012
What will you major in/study? “I will enter college undecided, with interest in business administration and a possible concentration in health care.”
Why did you choose Presbyterian? “I chose Presbyterian College for its challenging academics, small class size, and Division I athletic program. I felt an immediate connection to the PC lax family. Coach (Julie) Redman and Coach (Mallory) Miller made me feel very welcomed. After spending time with the team I am very excited to be part of PC lax and to play in the Big South conference.”
Outlook for your high school team? “Our high school team’s outlook for this year is to return to the Tournament of Champions and win.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all of their love and support. I would also like to thank Deanna and KC Knobloch for their coaching and mentoring through my high school years. I would also like to thank Coach Courtney Legath for her encouragement and confidence in me to pursue my desire and ability to play lacrosse at the collegiate level.”
