Hillsborough (NJ) senior midfielder Kristina Dunphey has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Rutgers University.

Major lacrosse honors: 4 year varsity player; 3 year varsity season statistics: 133 goals, 20 assists, 81 ground balls, 72 draw controls, 34 caused turnovers; 95 goals junior year; tied for 15th in the state, and named to the Skyland Conference First Team in 2012, and an honorable mention in 2011; Somerset County All-Area in 2012 and the Raiders’ MVP in 2012
What will you major in/study? Education
Why did you choose Rutgers? “I chose Rutgers because of the educational opportunities they offer. I was very impressed with the coaching staff, athletic program and facilities during my campus visits. Playing for Rutgers also provides me the opportunity to stay in NJ where I hope to become a teacher after graduation.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “I am very positive that we have a team that can go a long way this year and I am excited to contribute to our success.”
