Longstreth girls’ recruit: Cumberland Valley junior goalie Pierson commits to Manhattan

Cumberland Valley junior goalie Liz Pierson has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Manhattan College.

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Mid Penn Co-Champions 2011, 2012

What will you major in/study? Civil Engineering

Why did you choose Manhattan? “The Civil Engineering program at Manhattan is excellent. Coaches (Diane) Haddeland and (Catherine) Conway made me feel welcome and have great goals for the program. I feel that Manhattan is the best fit academically and athletically.”

Outlook for your High School team? “We have a very well-rounded team this year at CV and are off to a strong start. We want to win the Mid Penn Championship and go far in District play.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents and sister for their continued love and support during my entire lacrosse career. Kelsey Evans for introducing me to the position and making me love the sport.

“I would also like to thank goalie coach Scott Hager for his tremendous investment of time and encouragement.
