Longstreth girls’ recruit: Cocalico junior midfield-attack Costanza commits to Lock Haven

Cocalico junior midfield-attack Katelyn Costanza has made a verbal commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Lock Haven University.

Major lacrosse honors: 2013 Central PA National team, 3 year varsity starter, 2012 LL League Section 2 All-Star, 2011/2012 LL League Section 2 Varsity Lacrosse Champions, 2011/2012 PIAA State Playoffs, 2013 Section 1 All-Star, 2013 LL League All-Star, 2013 LL League Most Valuable Player

Academic Honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Psychology

Why did you choose Lock Haven? “I chose Lock Haven because I absolutely fell in love with the team and coaches, Coach Kristen Selvage and Coach Katie McConnell the first time I visited campus I knew that Lock Haven would be the perfect fit for me both athletically and academically.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We have moved into a more competitive section this season and have tougher competition. While this is challenging, I think it will make us an overall better team.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for helping and supporting me throughout my many years of playing lacrosse, and spending countless hours driving to tournaments, college visits and games in the past few years. Also, I would like to thank my club coach Mark Pinkerton for teaching me so much about lacrosse and helping me become a better player. He has instilled great confidence in me and has really helped me step up my game throughout the past year. Last, I would like to thank my high school coach Mary Beth Cardin for being one of my biggest supporters and always pushing me to do my best!”
