La Salle College High offering camps for boys (HS and youth), girls (youth)

Registration is open for the La Salle College High QuickStick boys’ and girls’ summer skills camps this June, headed by the Hall of Fame La Salle coaching staff.

Details
Camp 1 June 17-21
Time: 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Ages: Boys 7-to-16; Girls 5-to-13. Fee: $260. Camp 2, Evening Camp (S4)

Dates for Camp2: June 24-27
Time: 5:00-8:30 p.m. Ages: Boys 11-16. Fee: $200.

Camp Director

Mr. Bill Leahy
Head Lacrosse Coach and Guidance Counselor,
La Salle College High School

Coach Leahy is in his 21st year as Head Coach at La Salle College High School. He has achieved an overall record of 380-76 (255-4 in the Catholic League) which includes the 2004, 2008, and 2009 PA State Championship, 2005 and 2007 EPSLA Finals, 2010 and 2011 PIAA Finals, 2006 EPSLA Final Four, and 17 Philadelphia Catholic League Championships. He is a 1992 graduate of Loyola College in Maryland where he played and coached midfield and was considered a face-off specialist. From 1995-1996 he played forward for the Philadelphia Wings. Coach Leahy coached the 2007 U.S. South UnderArmour All American Team. In 2010 Coach Leahy was the first lacrosse coach to be inducted into the Montgomery County Coaches Hall of Fame, and this weekend he will be inducted into the Eastern PA Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Mr. Tony Resch
Assistant Coach, La Salle

Athletic Director and English Teacher,
La Salle College High School

Mr. Resch is the Athletic Director and Defensive Co-ordinator for La Salle College High School and its Varsity Lacrosse team. His experience in the game of lacrosse is extensive as he was a player for Penn Charter High School and an All-American at Yale University. After college he went on to play for the United States World Team and to be the Head Coach at the William Penn Charter School and for Philadelphia’s professional indoor team the Wings. He was inducted into the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Last summer Mr. Resch served as an Assistant Coach for the MLL champion Chesapeake Bayhawks and previously he as coach of the two-time MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage. He earned the 2006 & 2008 MLL “Coach of the Year” award along with his team championships. Mr. Resch just served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the last Lacrosse World Games.

Chuck Cirelli
Assistant Athletic Director and Science Teacher,
La Salle College High School

Mr. Cirelli is the Assistant Athletic Director and Associate Head Coach for La Salle College High School and its Varsity Lacrosse team. He has been a varsity assistant coach for the past ten years since graduating as a midfielder from John Carroll University. Mr. Cirelli is currently responsible for midfield play and goaltending and brings significant camp experience to QSI.

Women’s Camp Director
Megan Fortunato Fisher
Assistant Coach,
Upper Moreland High School

Coach Fisher is in her 9th year as a La Salle Lacrosse Camp Director. A graduate of the University of Delaware where she won women’s lacrosse honors as 1st team America East and 1st Team All Regional American. She was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in November.
