HEADstrong Rivalry Games roundup: Springside CHA remains perfect

Clint Sanders led the offense with two goals and an assist, Forrest Rall won eight of eight face-offs and scored once and Xander Pacilio made 13 saves as Springside Chestnut Hill Academy remained perfect by defeating Manheim Township, 6-5, today in the HEADstrong Foundation’s Annual Rivalry Games at Widener.

The event featured six high school games and raised money for the fight against blood cancer in the name of Nick Colleluori.

Peter Nicolo added two goals for the Blue Devils (5-0). Manheim Township fell to 4-1.

Bayard Rustin 13, Upper Darby 8

RJ Zoba erupted for five goals and six assists and Mark Campanile added three for Rustin.

Chris Stone had three goals and Ryan Simpson two for the Royals.

Holy Ghost Prep 13, New Hope-Solebury 0

Greg Price made 10 saves to earn the shutout and Michael Major had four goals and an assist while Sean McDonald added three goals and three assists for Holy Ghost Prep. Bennett Zaba added three goals and an assist.

Max Wolf had 15 saves for New Hope.

Great Valley 14, Upper Merion 3

Greg Merrill had four goals and two assists and for Great Valley.

Troy Minnich had 16 saves for Upper Merion.

Perkiomen Valley 8, Methacton 6

Sean Tornetta pumped in five goals for PV in the PAC-10 victory.

Aidan Denecke led the Warriors with three goals.

Strath Haven 16, Interboro 4

Mitch Cross collected four goals and three assists and Will Ohley had three goals and three assists while Brian Mizell contributed three goals and two assists for the Panthers. Ted Bergman earned the win with six saves before being relieved.

Dave Hearn had two goals for the Bucs.
