FCA went 7-0 overall in the 16-team tourney, rolling past Blue Chip NorCal Elite, 12-5, for the title on Thursday. FCA had toppled Wild Lacrosse (CO), 8-5, in the semifinals.

Some of the FCA standouts included Ryan Conrad (Loyola Blakefield, Md., rising junior midfielder), Timmy Kelly (Calvert Hall, Md., rising junior attackman), Alex Roesner (Loyola Blakefield rising junior attackman), Fitzhue Lee (Gilman School, Md., rising senior goalie), and Alex Larson (Chaparral, AZ., rising senior goalie).

“It was awesome meeting kids I never would have met before,” said Blynn. “Blending religion with lacrosse is a unique experience. Then we took it to the field.”

Blynn said the Wild was the toughest foe and held a two-goal lead on FCA heading into the final quarter of the semifinals.
