Haddonfield coach Farrell inducted into NJ Lacrosse Hall of Fame

Haddonfield girls’ lacrosse coach Lauren Simone Farrell was inducted in the New Jersey Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame on Sunday at Mercer Oaks Country Club in Princeton Junction.

Farrell, a 2002 graduate of Princeton University, was named the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player when she guided the Tigers to the national title in 2002. She scored 217 goals in four years at Delran High in South Jersey and at Princeton was named the Inside Lacrosse Attacker of the Year, was first-team All-America and made the Tewaaraton Watch List for the second time of her career.

During her standout career she was named first-team All-Ivy League three times and second-team All-America twice. She was team captain as a junior and a senior when Princeton won back-to-back Ivy League Championships. She was also a member of the 2000 NCAA All-Tournament Team when Princeton was the national runner-up.

She was named to the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse 25th Anniversary Team in 2006.
