Final Nike/US Lacrose girls’ Rankings: Moorestown is No. 5, Harriton No. 21, Radnor No. 25

Unbeaten McDonogh (Md.), which concluded its 2013 season by winning its fifth straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland championship and by extending its winning streak to 91 games, earned all 10 first-place votes to finish No. 1 in the final Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls’ Lacrosse National Top 25 poll, released today by US Lacrosse. The poll appears here as part of Lacrosse Magazine’s bi-weekly report on high school girls’ lacrosse atNike Poll

The Eagles finished 22-0 to beat out No. 2 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), which suffered just one loss during its Catholic High School Athletic Association title-winning season. St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Va.) went 27-1 en route to capturing two league championships and finishing at No. 3. Independent Schools League runner-up Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) and New Jersey Tournament of Champions winner Moorestown round out the top five.

Overall, teams from 10 states and the District of Columbia are represented in the Nike/US Lacrosse poll, which was released biweekly during the season. Milton (Ga.) and Vero Beach (Fla.) each won state championships and posted impressive out-of-state victories to finish at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.

The final Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls’ Lacrosse National Top 25, with teams, record, point total (first-place votes) and season highlight noted:

5. Moorestown (N.J.) 25-0, 204, ToC champion

7. Christian Brothers (N.Y.) 19-2, 167, State Class B hampion
8. Milton (Ga.) 18-3-1, 162, State Class 6A champion
9. Vero Beach (Fla.) 20-4, 160, State champion
10. Manhasset (N.Y.) 16-4, 153, State Class B semifinalist
11. C.M. Wright (Md.) 16-2, 150, State Class 3A/2A semifinalist
12. Century (Md.) 16-3, 149, State Class 3A/2A runner-up
13. Garden City (N.Y.) 17-2, 126, Nassau County Class B runner-up
14. St. Paul’s (Md.) 13-5, 119, IAAM runner-up

16. Brighton (N.Y.) 18-4, 105, State Class B runner-up
17. Mount Sinai (N.Y.) 20-0, 92, State Class C champion
