Harriton Boys’ Lacrosse welcomes the Lower Merion Township Ashbee Lacrosse House Leagues and Clinics to a day of lacrosse featuring a day joint play on Saturday.Harriton logo

The House Leagues and Clinics will take to the turf at 12:30 before the Harriton Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams take on Central Bucks South in non-league action at 3pm. This day is part of the ongoing community service efforts of boys lacrosse program, and is especially meaningful to the high school players, as more than half of them learned their fundamentals in the Ashbee program.

A dozen Harriton lacrosse players actively volunteer as assistant coaches in the house leagues and clinics, usually after they finish their own games and practices during the busy Spring Season.

Clinic Director, Bill Bernicker, said, “With more than 80 boys signed up for the clinics and similar numbers for the house league, the High School players really get in there and help the program run efficiently and everyone has fun.”

Harriton Varsity Captains, Tom Bernicker and David Stewart are both in their third year when with the Ashbee program, and when they were asked why they do it, they both agreed that they are grateful for those who volunteered when they were that age, and it’s a great way to give back to the lacrosse community.

Come out and join us for this great day of lacrosse, the Booster Club will be grilling all afternoon and the Ram Shack will be open for snacks and beverages.
