The All-Phillylacrosse.com Delaware Girls’ honorees for 2013:
Player of the Year
Haley Schweizer, St. Mark’s, Senior Midfielder
A US Lacrosse All-American, she scored 91 goals and set a school mark with 343 goals. She was named the Player of the Year by the Delaware Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association. She will play college lacrosse at Johns Hopkins.
Coach of the Year
P.J. Kesmodel, Cape Henlopen
The former coach at Maryland four-time state champion Mt. Hebron, Kesmodel led the Vikings (17-1) to their fifth straight state title in his sixth year at the helm. His record is 100-7-1 with six state final appearances in his six years in Delaware. Kesmodel’s Viking have not lost an in-state game since 2009.
Attack
Kellen Cannon, Sussex Tech, Attack, Senior
All-State … Scored over 200 career goals … Led team to 12-4 season … Headed to Bloomsburg.
Anna Frederick, Cape Henlopen, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-State … Had 61 goals and 20 assists … Helped lead team to fifth straight state championship … Headed to Temple
Sophie McCoy, Tower Hill, Senior
All-State … Key scorer on a team that went 14-4 and took Cape Henlopen to the limit in the state finals.
Allie Yeager, Cape Henlopen, Junior
All-State … Had 41 goals and 32 assists … Helped lead team to fifth straight state championship.
Midfield
Jenna Chodos, Tower Hill, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-State … Had 70 goals, 20 assists … Had 215 career goals … Key scorer on a team that went 14-4 and took Cape Henlopen to the limit in the state finals…. Headed to Williams College.
Meghan Cobb, Tower Hill, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, All-State … Had 55 goals and 25 assists, helping team finish 14-4 while reaching the state finals … Headed to Vermont.
Morgan Lamey, Charter School, Junior
Academic All-American, All-State … Had 62 goals and 29 assists … Headed to St. Joseph’s University.

Kathryn DeLillio, Tower Hill, Senior
All-State … Helped team finish 14-4 and reach state finals … Headed to Trinity.
Taylor Gooch, Cape Henlopen, Sophomore
All-State …Helped lead team to fifth straight state championship.
Betsy Neil, St. Andrew’s, Senior
All-State … Helped lead team to 10-6 season and berth in state quarterfinals.
Charlotte Rath, Archmere, Senior
All-State … Helped team finish 13-4 and reach state semifinals … Headed to Lafayette.
Katie Thompson, Middletown, Senior
All-State … Was Second-place overall finisher in Pansini & Mezrow Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll feature … Will play lacrosse and field hockey at Newberry.
