All-South Jersey Girls’ Honorees for 2013

Co-Players of the Year

Megan Kelly, Moorestown, Senior DefenderSouth Jersey girls
A US Lacrosse All-American, she was defensive backbone of a team that went 25-0, won the Tournament of Champions title for the second straight year and finished second in the nation by TopLaxRecruits.com and LaxPower. Will play at Penn.

Marie McCool, Moorestown, Junior Midfielder

The offensive standout for the Quakers’ drive to perfection, she had 86 goals and earned All-American honors. A strong two-way player, She was a Heather Leigh Albert Award nominee at the National Tournament. She is committed to North Carolina.

Coach of the Year
Janae Zechman, Shawnee

After taking off the 2012 season for a maternity leave, Zechman led the Renegades to the State Group 4 championship and a berth in the Tournament of Champions finals. Her team went 19-3.

Attack

Carly Demato, Shawnee, Senior
US Lacrosse Academic All-American … Scored 52 goals … Headed to Temple.

Gabby Frank, Moorestown, Senior
Scored 38 goals for team that won TOC championship and went 25-0 … Headed to Franklin & Marshall.

Shannon Nugent, Shawnee, Senior
US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American … Had 77 goals, leading Renegades to Group 4 state championship and berth in TOC finals … Headed to USC with twin sister Glade.

Midfield

Caitlin Delaney, Cherry Hill East, Senior
Had 95 goals, leading team to 11-7 season … Headed to Sacred Heart.

Mary Flick, Moorestown, Senior
US Lacrosse Academic All-American … Scored 32 goals for team that won TOC title and finished 25-0 …US Lacrosse Academic All-American … Headed to William & Mary.

Alex Hlesciak, Rancocas Valley, Senior
Scored 104 goals and finished career with 275 tallies … Headed to Quinnipiac.

Marie McCool, Moorestown Junior
Co-Player of the Year … Led Quakers to 25-0 season and second straight Tournament of Champions title … US Lacrosse All-American … Had 86 goals … Committed to North Carolina.

Caroline Shinske, Shawnee, Junior

US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American … Scored 75 goals … Led team to Group 4 state championship and berth in TOC finals …Committed to Johns Hopkins.

Hunter Gray, Lenape, Senior

US Lacrosse Academic All-American … Led team to 13-6 season … Headed to Denver.

Megan Kelly, Moorestown, Senior
Two-time US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American … She helped Quakers average just over 3 goals allowed per game, en route to perfect 25-0 season and TOC championship … Headed to Penn.

Glade Nugent, Shawnee, Senior
Key defender on team that allowed only six goals per game and won the Group 4 state title while reaching the TOC finals … Headed to USC with twin sister Shannon.

Lily Argyle, Shawnee, Sophomore
The backbone of a team that won the Group 4 state championship and went to the finals of the TOC … Averaged six goals per game… Committed to Vanderbilt.
