ReQRuitme boys’ recruit: Radnor 2016 midfielder/attackman Wilson commits to Maryland

Radnor rising sophomore midfield-attackman Jack Wilson has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Maryland.

College Choice: University of Maryland

Club Affiliation: NXT (2016)

Major lacrosse honors, camps: Central League Champions 2013, PIAA States 2013, Team Philly 2013, Under Armour Shootout 2013

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Maryland because of the strong academics and the opportunity to play for a program with a long and successful tradition. Coach (John) Tillman and his staff are committed to developing my game and me as an individual. I felt at home the minute I stepped on campus, and I have always dreamed of playing for Maryland as a kid. Maryland gives me the opportunities to grow as a teammate and as an individual.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “We had a great season last year led be 17 seniors. but we are bringing back a lot of talent and athleticism. Radnor is looking for another Central League title and to make a run in states.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank the Radnor HS coaches, John Begier, George Corrigan, Mike Busza, Mike Friel and John Sims, for providing the opportunity to play lacrosse and be part of a strong lacrosse program. thanks to my A1 coach Peter Sampson for growing my love for the game of lacrosse. I would also like to thank my coaches from NXT (2016), Brett Many, George Castle and Bill Derrick, Finally, I would like to my mom and dad and my brother Sam for helping me be so successful.”
