Wednesday’s boys’ high school highlights: Hatboro-Horsham tops Manheim Twp; Shipley falls to Florida power, 9-8

Host Hatboro-Horsham used a 5-0 second-period run to break open a 2-2 game and Mark Poust made a sparkling 22 saves in goal as the Hatters whipped Manheim Township, 13-6, Wednesday in non-league boys’ lacrosse.

Jimmy Murphy had three goals and two assists and Jake Durkin added three goals and one assist while Pat Downing had three goals. Trevor Downing added two goals and one assist. Dom DeFazio (seven groundballs) and Connor Kreston both scored single goals.

Lake Highland Prep (FL) 9, Shipley School 8

Ian McGibbon was brilliant in the cage with 22 saves and Mike Litner had three goals and an assist, but the Gators dropped a heartbreaker to the nationally-ranked Highlanders (11-1).

Central Bucks East 12, Unionville 5

Chris Vetter led the Patriots with five goals and one assist, and Matt Milici added three goals and a pair of assists while Harrison Holak had nine saves.

Council Rock South 7, Interboro 5

The Golden Hawks improved to 3-0 as Tim Bruemmer was brilliant with 29 saves and Nick Gugliemi and Kyle Walter led the offense with two goals each.

Dave Kilgore had two goals for the Bucs.

Lawrenceville (NJ) 11, Germantown Academy 9

MJ Flood scored three goals and Dan Berg and Mark Leonhard had two goals and an assist each to pace the Big Red to the non-league win.

Billy Oppenheimer led GA with three goals and two assists and Jake Adoni was strong in goal with 16 saves.
