Villanova men ranked No. 10 in Division I in two major polls recently released

The Villanova men’s lacrosse team is ranked in the top 10 of both major national preseason polls, as announced on Monday afternoon.

The Wildcats earned a No. 10 ranking in both the Nike/Inside Lacrosse and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) preseason polls to begin the 2012 season. 2011 National Champions Virginia claimed the top spot in both sets of rankings.

Head Coach Mike Corrado’s Wildcats earned 132 points in the coaches poll and 231 points in the media poll, respectively.

Villanova begins the 2012 season on Saturday, Feb. 18th in Bethlehem, Pa. against Lehigh. Game time is scheduled for Noon at Ulrich Sports Complex. Season tickets are available online by visiting villanova.com or clicking here.
