Thursday’s girls’ HS highlights: Merion Mercy topples Mount; Crochiere sets Agnes Irwin mark, Radnor tops Harriton

Caili Guilday was a standout in goal with 15 saves and Julianne D’Orazio had five goals and an assist as visiting Merion mercy toppled Mount St. Joseph, 12-7, Thursday in a key Catholic Academies game.

The win kept the Bears atop the league standing at 10-0 (12-1 overall). The Mount fell to 8-2 and 10-3.

Bonnie McShane dished five assists for Merion and Caroline Corzel had two goals and an assist.

Olivia Gannon had two goals and an assist for the Magic.

Episcopal Academy 19, Agnes Irwin 10

Lynda Michaels and Ali Singley each had three goals and two assist for EA in the Inter-Ac win.

For Agnes Irwin, senior Campbell Crochiere had four goals and an assist and broke the school scoring record. Campbell now stands at 150 goals (the previous record was 148).

Radnor 17, Harriton 10

Kristen Norden had four goals and two assists and Natalie Miller scored three goals while Abby Junior scooped seven groundballs as the Red Raiders toppled the Rams in a key Central League game.

Katie Melvin, Madeline Posani and Jane Henderson each had three goals for the Rams.

Downingtown West 17, Downingtown East 16

Jill Sanders had five goals and an assist and Eva Winiarski added three goals and three assists and Caili Loaec scored the game-winner on an assist from Shannnon Fluharty with 6:27 left in the game to lead the Whippets past rival East.

Mckenzie Rafferty had six goals and an assist for the Cougars.

Strath Haven 11, Conestoga 9

Morgan Glassford had four goals and an assist to help the Panthers earn a big Central League win.
