Officials at Evanfest have announced that the youth boys’ lacrosse teams in the U-15 and U-13 divisions from Chester and Delaware counties and beyond can register to compete in the 6th annual youth boys’ lacrosse tournament will be held on Saturday, April 14 at Malvern Prep.
Evanfest was created to honor the memory of Malvern Prep’s Evan Brady, a youth lacrosse standout who lost his fight with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) on September 21, 2005. Lacrosse was a very large part of Evan’s life and during his four-year fight with the disease he continued to live his life to the fullest and was a role model for all his teammates and classmates.

The funds raised from Evanfest – now over $450,000 – go directly to help families that are dealing with a child that has a life-threatening disease or illness. Thus far, Evanfest, has provided financial aid to 120 families.
