The Sullivan award is presented to sophomores who achieved a 4.0 GPA throughout their freshman year.

DeSana is a member of Seton Hill’s Honors School, double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice.

DeSana played in 11 games and was used regularly on man-down situations last year for Seton Hill, which finished with a school best 12-4 record and was a solid 7-3 in the rugged East Coast Conference.

The Griffins finished ranked No. 8 in the nation in Division II season ranked #8 in the country at the NCAA Division 2 level. Seton Hill’s four losses were to teams ranked #1, #2,#4 and #6 respectively, including an 11-8 defeat to eventual Division II National Champion Dowling – a game Seton Hill led 6-2 at one point in the second quarter.

“I am very proud of Anthony’s accomplishment, he is a dedicated student athlete who takes his academic and his athletic pursuits very seriously,” said Seton Hill coach Brian Novotny. “Our program puts great value on success in the classroom and on the field.

“I love to see a young man strive for, and achieve, success at a high level.”
