Allyson Heavens had five goals and an assist and Halley Barnes contributed four goals and an assist as Garnet Valley defeated Manheim Township, 15-13, today in a first-round Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) girls’ lacrosse playoff game at Exeter High.
Garnet Valley (21-3), the defending state champion, advances to meet Harriton in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The Rams downed Nazareth, 19-2.
Manheim Township, the District 3 champion, closes its season at 24-1.
AnnaElise Morello added two goals and five assists for the Jaguars while Ashley Pyle and Dana Davis each scored twice.
Molly Hendrick had six goals and an assist for Manheim while Devon Schneider scored five goals and had one assist.
