PIAA boys’ playoff: Conestoga downs Hempfield, 9-4, to advance to quarterfinals

Tyler Brooke had four goals and three assists to lead Conestoga to a 9-4 victory today over Hempfield in the first round of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association boys’ lacrosse tournament at Henderson high.

The two-time defending champion Pioneers (20-3) advance to the quarterfinals to face District 3 runner-up Carlisle, which downed Delaware Valley, 15-4. The game will be played Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

Bradlee Lord and Connor Frisna each had two goals and an assist for Conestoga. Nick Valentino had two goals and an assist for Hempfield.
