From Press Release

The HEADstrong Foundation is proud to announce SCOUT by Bungalow as their newest partner in the fight against blood cancer. In conjunction with National Blood Cancer Awareness Month, SCOUT by Bungalow will release a collection of fashionable lacrosse inspired bags in September with proceeds benefiting the HEADstrong Foundation. The line, targeting women’s lacrosse players of all ages, will help broaden HEADstrong’s fundraising and awareness efforts to all facets of the lacrosse community.

SCOUT by Bungalow collection

Generating funds and building awareness is at the heart of HEADstrong Foundation’s latest partnership. This special collection will be offered in HEADstrong’s signature lime green and royal blue and features SCOUT’s popular Big Draw Back Pack, Zip It & Rip It Stick Bag and Game Day Gear Bag. The HEADstrong inspired collection will be offered to retailers across the country and will also be available online at http://www.shopHEADstrong.com.

The Big Draw Back Pack is the perfect way to HEAD Back to School. This universal item features a waterproof coated cotton fabric, large main compartment, external stick straps, durable external mesh pockets, external zipper pocket, adjustable shoulder strap, cell phone case that attaches to shoulder strap.

The Zip It and Rip It Bag is a great way to protect your stick and accessories while promoting the cause. The bag, fashioned in a waterproof coated cotton fabric, features a durable shoulder strap, internal stick compartment, external mesh pocket and internal mesh pocket for goggles.

The Game Day Gear Bag is ideal whether you are on or off the playing field. Made from water resistant coated cotton fabric, the tote zippers securely, includes an inside zipper pocket, an over the shoulder strap and is easy to maintain—simply wipe clean.

With the occurrence of blood cancer on the rise in men and women alike as well as a troubling trend in re-occurrence of the disease in young adults, the HEADstrong Foundation has begun to build fundraising campaigns geared towards women’s lacrosse. According to HEADstrong Foundation President Cheryl Colleluori, the demand for women’s product, events and campaigns has never been greater. This new targeted effort to promote awareness is well-timed, as Headstrong, through the generosity of its supporters, has grown to provide financial support and services on a national scale.

This special collection offered by SCOUT by Bungalow is just one of many HEADstrong initiatives to raise funds and promote awareness throughout women’s lacrosse. Over the past year the HEADstrong Foundation has aligned itself with key manufactures in the game to develop and offer a full complement of cause-related products. This combined with HEADstrong’s plan for new competitive women’s teams, new events such as their Nicholas Colleluori Women’s Classic at Hofstra University, and their Tour For A Cure, HEADstrong is poised to bring the message of the Foundation and Nick’s inspirational legacy of action to young female athletes nationwide.

“We are sincerely proud to support HEADstrong and its relentless pursuit to end blood cancer,” said Ben Johns, Co-Owner and President of SCOUT by Bungalow. “This cause is close to our hearts as our son Bo, an avid lacrosse player, is an 8-year survivor of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Given our personal connection to the disease, our family involvement in men’s and women’s lacrosse, as well as our interest in putting SCOUT bags in the hands of female athletes all over the country, we have found the perfect partner in HEADstrong and the Colleluori family.”

“On behalf of the HEADstrong Foundation and the Colleluori family we wish to share our sincere appreciation and applaud SCOUT by Bungalow for believing in our fight,” said Cheryl Colleluori, HEADstrong President and Nick’s Mom. “We are proud to announce this new partnership and are excited for the launch of this new collection of sport bags. We would be remiss if we did not thank the players who have been influential and instrumental in the development of our women’s teams, events and new products. Our hope is that young ladies find strength and inspiration in our story and feel inspired to make a difference. Together we need to unite against this disease. The partnership with SCOUT by Bungalow is a first step in the right direction.”
