From Press Release

In an effort to promote blood cancer awareness, custom fashion designer J.J. Threads has teamed up with the HEADstrong Foundation to create special fabric and accessories in HEADstrong’s signature lime green to help further their mission of advocating, fundraising and supporting those affected by blood cancers and those working to eliminate it.

Beginning this September, customers designing apparel with J.J. Threads will have the ability to add signature lime green fabric, buttons and accessories to their garments with proceeds benefiting the HEADstrong Foundation. J.J. Threads, a company built on the premise of customization embraced the idea of promoting awareness through their product, giving players, coaches and fans of lacrosse the ability to show their support of the cause.

Design your own shirt today at www.jjthreads.com.

HEADstrong’s signature lime green is the National Awareness Color supporting non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the disease that claimed the life of Founder Nicholas “HEAD” Colleluori in 2006. Since the inception of the HEADstrong Foundation, lime green has been a foundational color symbolizing hope, strength and love within the lacrosse community.

The color is a “Call to Action” uniting and empowering players in the game to make a difference. And while this vibrant color was once considered taboo in the sport, the popularity of the color with in the game has become widespread in support of the HEADstrong mission.

“J.J. Threads is honored to be partnering with HEADstrong,: said Jay Wich, J.J. Threads Founder. “Ultimately, the vision of our company is to empower individuals to be themselves and to customize their style.

“Partnering with HEADstrong gives our customers the ability to empower their communities as well in support of a good cause. We at J.J. Threads are committed to such community outreach as a core principle of our business.”

“We wish to thank J.J. Threads for their commitment to supporting the HEADstrong Foundation by creating a unique way to further our mission, allowing us to grow our offering while reaching a new demographic of supporters, ‘ Cheryl Colleluori, HEADstrong President and Nick’s Mom . With the color lime green being our awareness platform we are no strangers to the customization process and value the relationship. We applaud J.J. Threads for their vision and creativity to help us in our outreach endeavors. Our hope is that teams will elect to design a shirt to wear at special events, post game functions, press conferences, etc. The process of designing your own shirt is a fun and trendy thing to do and we hope that supporters will consider designing their own exclusive HEADstrong shirt or adding custom buttons to show support for our fight.”
