Maverik Lacrosse has released “The Making of The Future is Here,” a new behind-the-scenes video looking at the making of Maverik’s latest commercial, The Future is Here.

Maverik athletes (from left) Drew Adams (Springfield-Delco), Jovan Miller and Peet Poillon (Seneca Valley) joined with Philly’s Grant Ament (Haverford School) to make a Maverik commercial with a scene shot at Shipley School

The commercial first aired during ESPNU’s college lacrosse season opener on Friday, February 17th and will continue to run throughout the 2012 college lacrosse season on ESPN and ESPN2. The short film features several Maverik athletes, including Philly’s John Christmas, Seneca Valley (Pa.) coach Peet Poillon, Joe Cinosky, and Billy Bitter as well as major spots for Haverford School freshman Grant Ament at Shipley School’s new turf fields and St. Joseph’s Prep sophomore Chase Young with the LEAPS Lacrosse players.

Maverik’s inspirational commercial embodies an overall theme in which today’s generation of elite lacrosse players pass the torch onto the sports next generation. Maverik chose to feature non-traditional lacrosse settings across the country to better reflect the explosive growth of lacrosse and represent Maverik’s ongoing efforts to bring the sport to a new audience.

“The commercial was a true collaborative effort between Maverik’s creative team and Jalbert Productions,” John Gagliardi, Founder and CEO of Maverik Lacrosse. “We are all very proud of the final product and feel it will both inspire and motivate anyone who has ever played the game.”
