National Letter of Intent signing: Villa Maria Academy midfielder Mertz picks James Madison

Villa Maria Academy senior midfielder Jenna Mertz signed a letter of intent to continue her lacrosse career at James Madison University. Mertz was joined by her family, coaches, teachers and classmates at Villa Maria during a recent signing party held at the school.

Mertz earned Academic All-American honors and was named Athletic Association of Catholic Academies All-League last year when she helped the Hurricanes reach the league finals.
