Holy Ghost Prep senior attackman Jeremy Omrod recently signed his National letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Drexel University during a special signing ceremony.
Omrod – who plays for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club and LB3 – scored 39 goals last year and earned Bicentennial Athletic League first-team honors for the Firebirds. he also excelled in the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association Showcase last June.
Omrod is one of nine Philly seniors to sign with Drexel and coach Brian Voelker. The others are: Conestoga LSM Miles Thomas, Bishop Shanahan defenseman Chris Panichelli, Conestoga midfielder Mike McGregor, Garnet Valley midfielder Jules Raucci, Conestoga midfielder Jordan Klunder, Radnor face-off specialist Mike Barnes, St. Augustine Prep defenseman/LSM Bryan Phillips, and Avon Grove midfielder Brandon Fabian. Also, the nephew of former Wings great and Philly coach Scott Gabrielsen, Will Gabrielson (goalie) of Millbrook School (N.Y.), also signed with the Dragons.
