The Mesa Fresh 2014 lacrosse team has joined forces with the Chester County Food Bank to help feed those in need this winter.
Every day, 1 in 10 people in Chester County go without food. This is our community and these are our friends and neighbors.
Mesa Fresh 2014 saw the need to come together and help solve this local crisis. The team is volunteering their time to stock shelves at the food bank and individually have set up local collection boxes. They will also assist in emergency situations to get food to those in immediate need.
The Mesa Fresh 2014 team will be planting and harvesting gardens during the spring and summer and volunteer in the kitchen to prepare the fresh food received. Donations of non-perishables, especially peanut butter, a much needed staple, can be dropped off at local food collection boxes or at the Chester County Food Bank.
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and accepted at Chestercountyfoodbank.org or by calling 610-873-6000.
