Men’s recruit: Malvern Prep junior defenseman Satterthwaite commits to Hofstra

Malvern prep junior defenseman Stephen Satterthwaite has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hofstra University.

Academic honors: National Honor Society, Tri-M National Music Honor Society, Distinguished Honors Fall 2013

What will you major in/study? Accounting

Why did you choose school? “When I visited the campus, I felt at home and was very impressed with the lacrosse program. I felt that Coach (Seth) Tierney and Coach (Kevin) Unterstein could bring out the best in my lacrosse skills. The academics and lacrosse were exactly what I had wanted.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season?
“Everyone is putting time in during the off season to improve their game. I really feel like we will be a contender this year for the Inter-Ac.”
