What will you major in/study? Leaning toward Biology and Society.
Why did you choose school? “Cornell has an outstanding academic reputation and lacrosse team. Another reason is that it’s very close to home; for me it’s a four-and-a-half hour drive which means my parents can come down the morning of a game and be back in bed at night. The school also has a good history of having Canadians on the team; even Canadian goalies, such as (former Canadian national standout) Kyle Miller.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for 2012? “I don’t know how we’ll do against other talented teams because I am not from the area. But we definitely have a strong team. (Three-year returning starter) Duncan Saunders is our No. 1 goalie and is the leader of this team. I am looking to do what I can do to help this team as best I can. I think it will be fun to play with this team and see how far we can go.”
Other comments: “I want to thank my whole family, my parents, my two younger siblings, my coach at St. Michael’s (Alex Frestura), and coach (Ned) Ide for welcoming me to the Hill School.”
How does it feel to be playing for the U19 team?: “I am extremely humbled and honored to have been chosen for the team. I look forward to working hard each day to get ready for worlds.”
