Business or Communications

Why did you choose school? “It was the perfect fit for me academically, athletically and socially. It’s a beautiful campus and when I visited a player’s practice they worked really hard. Coach (Keegan) Wilkinson and the rest of the staff is great. It felt like family when I went up there.”

Other info: Murphy played one season with popular Hatboro-Horsham grad Eddie Coombs, who played regularly as a freshman at Marist in 2011 but passed away in a car accident last August.

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We have a lot of guys putting time in the off-season, and with the seniors we have along with a lot of talented sophomores and juniors we’re hoping to be a highly competitive team.”

Other comments: “I give huge thanks to my mom, dad and sisters; they have supported me throughout all this. I have a lot of coaches to thank: Coaches Helm, Christmas, Vetrone, Baker, Fallon and Mackrides from the Dukes; Coaches Bob Ambler, Colin Ambler, Lomady, and Rama from the Wet Bandits; and Coaches Sowers, Kurek, Kerrigan, Swezey, Wilcox, Vogel, Walker and Banks from Hatboro-Horsham.”
